Budget committee supports free nurses for bed bugs

It looks like Toronto is going get get free nurses from the province to help deal with bed bugs. In a motion put before the City's Budget Committee earlier today, Doug Ford supported the Ontario's offer of the nurses with the stipulation that Toronto wouldn't have to pay for their services if provincial funding is cut. According to a report in the Globe, Ford said this condition will ensure that the city doesn't look like "the bad guys when the money runs out."

The motion to accept the nurses must still go before the Executive Committee, which shot down a previous offer of two nurses back in June. On suspects, however, that Doug Ford's support means that this offer will ultimately be accepted.
