What's open and closed on Remembrance Day

Although Remembrance Day isn't an official holiday, not all stores and services are open and operating as they would be normally. Although the changes are mostly minor, here's a quick list of a few changes worthy of note. Please see our previous post on Remembrance Day for a list of commemorative ceremonies taking place across the city.

Modified Hours

  • The LCBO and Beer Store won't open until 12 p.m. (closing times remain the same)
  • The TTC will halt all vehicles (subways and surface routes) for two minutes at 11 a.m.

Closed

  • All banks
  • Canada Post
  • Parking ticket payment counters
  • Property tax and utility payment counters

Open

Aside from these exceptions, all else should be operating on a normal schedule.
