Satirical blog robfordmayor.com has been shut down, allegedly in response to a cease and desist letter from lawyers representing mayoral candidate Rob Ford.

The blog consisted of posts written by a "Rob Ford" (with a disclaimer on the foot of each page), where he detailed his most intimate food-related thoughts and sexual fantasies. Not exactly A-grade humour, but it seems the Ford team certainly didn't find it funny.

"I apologize to Rob Ford for my extremely satirical writings and any stress or inconvenience that may have ensued as a result," the writer posted.

The blog's fans are calling the move a horrible affront to free speech, while Fords' supporters, through their lawyers, are saying "*Sniff* I'm telling!"
