Broken Social Scene & Others Make Charity T's

Posted by Gary / December 17, 2008

Broken Social SceneThe holiday season brings out the best in Toronto bands and The Yellow Project is a very cool organization helping them help others this year. They are a charity T-shirt company that sell designs by popular bands/artists for various charities of the band's choosing.

Among the very colourful selection of band-designed shirts are a handful of local talent. Pictured above (from left to right) are shirts designed by Hayden (for The Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada), Stars (for Le Chainon, a women's shelter in Montreal), and Broken Social Scene (for the Lake Ontario Waterkeeper).

Other notable shirts include designs by k-os, Wolf Parade and The New Pornographers.

Thanks Gary! We're also really happy to be working with Yellow Tree and BSS on these t-shirts!

you mean blogTO doesnt receive raw press releases?
that it doesnt have a staff of investigative reporters?
are you saying it relies on other news networks for its information?
are you saying that blogTO is some sort of blog or something?
are you saying that this is the internet?

preposterous!

www.SevenSeedTees.com is thinking about doing something similiar by letting you design your own charity t shirts then getting paid each time it gets sold. I think its just talk now, because currently they are like TOMS Shoes and for every shirt you buy they feed a child for 10 days. http://www.SevenSeedTees.com
