Inside the Flow Loot Bag

jun0106_flow.jpgI stopped by the ROM last night for Flow 93.5's 5th year anniversary shindig. I don't have a whole lot to say about the party except that everyone just stood around drinking the free booze, eating mini-burgers and fruit skewers while Maestro and Jacksoul entertained on-stage..

But the loot bag? It was heavy, so first I thought there was a trophy in it - just for me. But alas, it turned out to be a bottle of Evian that accounted for most of the weight. That was supplemented by an energy drink, a large "fashionable" Flow t-shirt, something called anti-friz serum from Osis, a whistle (not a misprint) and discount coupons for Autogrill and Lileo.

that coupon for lileo could definitely come in handy, but a whistle? interesting choice. any clue as to why they included that?

Whistles can serve many a purpose - cat calling, drowning alert, rave on, bring on the dogs, race start, etc. Don't leave home without one ;)

if you weren't so white you'd understand how anti-friz serum and whistles make perfect sense. it's summertime, guy! block parties! caribana! humidity all up in your hair! dancing in the heat of the sun! geez, it's as if you people know nothing about toronto summers.

not sure what being white has anything to do with it. especially since i'm not.

that being said, i do use anti-friz serum (fully necessary during a toronto summer on my hair), but i just found it odd that flow would give out a whistle, when i could think of many other things that they could have given to comemmorate 5 years. that's all.

silly - whistles are worn/used at soca events and at caribana, parts of toronto urban culture that flow is defintiely a part of...
