Regular blogTO reader Tim Knight from Broken Engine has a gig tomorrow night at the Horseshoe. Could be one to check out. More info in Tim's words:

Tomorrow night, Tuesday Dec 6th, +nurse is playing the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern (370 Queen St W, corner of Queen/Spadina). We go on at 10pm. This is EDGE 102.1 Nu-Music Nite, and it's a FREE show!

According to our very own Toronto Independent Music podcaster, Jay Moonah, the + in +nurse is silent. Tim, what's with that?

We write fairly simple songs, with fairly simple themes; love or the lack thereof, the excess of our society, revenge. But we play in Toronto. We had to be pretentious SOMEHOW! ;)

No actually, it's just a matter of branding. Our logo is always with the cross before the name, and thats easily reproduced in text. So, we'd prefer it always to appear with the + so that people associate the two together.

But if you want to call us "plus nurse", thats ok too. I actually don't mind that name at all, and really, it's not all that important...
