Gavin Bradley Brings The Deep Freeze Tonight

I've been in an eclectic phase of existence lately. I rarely listen to mainstream radio anymore, I've been watching more MuchMoreMusic than MuchVibe, and I'm bumping a lot of Stevie Wonder, old school Reggae, Coldplay, and a touch of Acid Jazz. Methinks I'm getting old.

Gavin Bradley does the CD release thing at The Trane Studio tonight and I'm thinking about going. Don't know much about the dude, but apparently the DJ/producer/singer-songwriter has done remixes for Esthero, jacksoul and Nelly Furtado.

Judging from the sample cuts off his new album Deep Freeze, he's on a "trippy-jazz/electro-organic" sort of vibe. Some of the snippets are a bit too mellow and coffeehouse for my tastes, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt -- I need to hear more.

So I just might go...I'm in an "expand my musical horizons" type of mood.
