Wren City Churches

In the mood for some post-hardcore indie pop? Perhaps something strongly influenced by Pinback, Modest Mouse or say The Sea and Cake but with an upbeat kick to it? Well then I suggest checking out Wren City Churches tonight at the Rivoli ($6) with The Lost Cause and Urban Island Heart.

WCC has been on the scene since late '03, and their first album City Silos, came out just before '05 (you can sample the goods here). They have mastered mixing sombre with up-tempo to perfection, so good luck standing still at one of their live shows...

Come out of the cold tonight, and swing by the Rivoli backroom around 9pm.
