moviesTO #48: The DVD Show

20060929_moviesto.jpg

It's two weeks since TIFF and I still don't seem to want to go to the Paramount, so this week I'm going to have a look at DVDs - what's come out, what's coming out, and which ones are my very favourites from my very, very large collection.

Today's podcast includes:

  • DVDs for September and October
  • The state of the art: the best DVDs of all time (in my humble opinion)
  • News on Jackass and Iron Man

DOWNLOAD THE SHOW (21 meg MP3 file)

You haven't seen Thank You For Smoking? I find that hard to believe, it was wonderful. That, and Jason Reitman was born in Canada, so he has to be cool. =)

Oh believe it. Thank You For Smoking is one of "those movies" for me. i.e. one of those ones that I know I want to see, that I know I would enjoy, and that EVERYBODY recommends to me. I get it recommended to me at least three times a month. And everyone, like you, is stunned that I haven't seen it. Man, I really oughta get off my ass...
