Whither Superman? Is the comic book universe's ultimate icon too iconic for an audience that thinks Spider-Man is a good movie? Can the Man of Steel save us all?

Missed you last week, glad you're back. And yes, I loved Superman. Wasn't the greatest superhero movie ever made, but I still loved it. Something about Superman, I guess.
Best part: at the Daily Planet, White to Jimmy, "these are iconic photos and they were taken by a kid with a cameraphone. What do you got?"
And thank god I didn't see it in 3D, because it was positively wonderful as it was.
- the submissions deadline for the Toronto After Dark Film Festival is not September, it is July 14th, so make sure you get your submissions in right away.
- the festival will showcase both features and short films, and is not just a short film festival. We will accept submissions for Canadian features that fit the bill, and the short film selection will be strictly Canadian.

CG/Effects= cheesier than Hulk.
Plot= too confusing for the young ones, too utterly stupid for me.
Villains= yeahhhh Superman never had any cool ones.. to be fair, Kevin Spacey does a great job but his evil ideas aren't very interesting.
Struggle= Lame. He has a hard time lifting a plane but orbits half a continent around the world.
Subplot= O the love story. Not as convincing or developed as Spiderman.
Acting=Very minimal. Superman (we're not talking Clark Kent here) is obviously CG'ed to shit, looking small sometimes and TOO muscled other times with too small a head. Just ridiculous, I felt.
