The sangria is made with crappy wine and is watered down too much. The salade nicoise made me want to cry! What am I a frikken horse? whay are you serving me RAW GIANT OLD INDUSTRIAL CARROTS, you know those jumbo ones meant for soups. The pieces were chunky and a choking hazard. Cold undercooked potatoes, raw unblanched vegiies. Absolutey failed me. I would only serve this dish to livestock, not a human. Also the remainder of the menu is slightly an eigth of a step up from the Greenroom.
I get insulted by these reatsurants and types of places. I am not a trashy suburbanite in "hipster clothes". I know what good food is and I dont care if you think I am a snob. This food sucks major ass.
I had pad thai here a month or two ago, and I thought it was okay but I wasn't really paying attention to my food at the time. Today I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and the udon stirfry with chicken. The coffee was decent, but nothing special. The stirfry was ridiculously greasy. I don't think I'll order food here again. $14 pitchers, including Steamwhistle and Tankhouse, but if I want those I'll go to Toby's (which has the same for $10).
An update: I came back again to study with a friend, and ordered a soup+sandwich combo. The sandwich wasn't actually that bad, though I forget which one it was. The soup (tomato barley) was way too salty. Also, Toby's doesn't have $10 Steamwhistle pitchers any more.
I was there for the first time yesterday. I had the French toast, with home fries and fruit salad all for $5.25. It was delicious and filling. I'm a simple man and to me, it delivered everything that I hoped it would.
