World SalonWorld works on their eco-footprint as diligently as on their cuts. On Adelaide, the other side of St James Cathedral.

I have been coming to World Salon since it began! I live in the USA and come up to TO to see Brian and the Gang! I have been with Brian for 20 years and let everyone know "My-Brian" is the only one who can touch my hair!

After much bad experience with colouring my own hair and a trip to another salon with unsatisfactory results, I decided to research a hair salon before visiting one. From the presentation of the website, World Salon seemed a bit intimidating and uptight, but to my surprise, it was actually a very inviting space and staff. Interior rocks there. Johanna gave me a clear and concise consultation followed by colour correction, which despite being pricey for my broken student pocket ($150) was worth it. All staff was friendly, professional and polite, and seemed human and not pretentious (or maybe they're just very good actors ;)In the end, Johanna did try to sell me their shampoo and conditioner, but it's just my personal peeve for forcing a sale...I would definitely buy it because of its organic composition, but again it's way too expensive ($34 for both on promotion now). I would recommend the salon and Johanna because of her excellent results.

I've left my hair to the devices--and good graces--of Aki-Rosario, ever since she fixed an awful cut and color years ago. Aki incorporates a calm mindfulness to her work that is not scripted or used as a device manufactured in artifice; instead, she truly takes into consideration the whole person, and designs a style accordingly. It is in this manner that the individual is allowed to showcase his or her true nature: the rock star, intellectual, or dreamboat wears the style--the style does not wear (or wear thin on) the person.

I trust my hair with Aki because she is so worth it. Even as a poor student, the quality and longevity of her cuts far outweigh the cost. I've sent multiple now-ex-boyfriends to her; not only has she shaped up every one, but they continue to see her when they will no longer see me. The stronger relationship is evident!

Aki and the entire staff at World are just awesome. Their education and resumes and commitment to personal and environmental care should make them far more haughty than any of them actually are. World Salon has every reason to be pretentious, and yet they aren't. And it is such a treat, every time, to come in looking like shit, sit down with some tea, watch Aki and the crew work their magic with joy, in community with both each other and their clients, and leave feeling brilliant, and like an integral part of it all.

I am so grateful that Aki is part of my World.

May I add my name to this love-in? World is a great salon. Everyone there is awesome, but how can it be any other way when you have Brian at the helm? Brian is talented, kind and wonderful and he has surrounded himself with people of like-minds. Aki, for one, is not only a fantastic stylist but also a terrific person. I don't know how to describe the special charm of the place except to say walking in there for me is like walking into a good friend's living room. Everyone is friendly, gracious and real. I started going for the cut and colour, but I have stayed on because of the people.

Lukas rescued my teenage daughter from a hair colour disaster with dedication and skill and charged us less than the other hair stylist charged us to ruin her hair in the first place. He is an absolute hair genius and a delightful person.

World Salon has a wonderful atmosphere and is beautifully designed, edgy yet unpretentious. We are offered tea the moment we come in the door so we feel like guests.

And by the way, the shampoo they sell is incredible.

I decided I wanted to do something drastic and cut all my hair off. After much research I confided in a friend of a friend (Gary) knowing that he was a hair stylist...and decided to give it a go. When I got to World Salon, everyone was incredibly friendly and i loved the inviting atmosphere. The decor/design feels very spacious and open...this is not one of those stuck up salons. World Salon has a professional yet homey feel. After looking through a catalog of short dos, I chose one called Brut Metallique. Gary let me know that he would personalize it for my curly hair. I told Gary exactly how I wanted it to look and he was patient with my demands. He introduced me to my new favourite product - Beam Cream Styling Gel by Biosthetique(which I use every day). It smells delicious. Like candy. :) I am ecstatic about my new short do and keep wondering why I didn't do it sooner. I will definitely be coming back to World Salon soon. Thank you World Salon. Thank you Gary. xo

Hii,
I'm looking for a permanent stylist to cut my hair, someone that i can trust and therefore keep going back to, I've been bouncing around town looking for someone who does great cuts for straight hair, and unfortunately have not found the right person. I've loved the comments from this salon and I look forward in going!
With my hair type I find that mistakes are so prominent since it's so straight and I don't want to always be in that awkward waiting for the cut to grow out phase. Any suggestions as to who I should see??

Everything about World Salon blew me away. The atmosphere, the very personal customer service and of course the outstanding cut and colour I got from Lukas. I originally went in for a colour correction, but i am so happy luckas fixed my cut as well. I was a hair model and allowed my last stylist to practice his creative cut on my hair... interesting but not flattering. But I didn't realize just how unhappy i was with my last cut until Lukas gave me the most manageable and most flattering cut I've ever had. I can't wait until my next appointment!!

Best Men's Haircut in Toronto – Lukas Suter

At the risk of making it more difficult to get an appointment with Lukas, I feel I owe it to him to spread the good word. And that word is – perfect. If you're a man who appreciates the difference between tailored and off-the-rack, make your next hair appointment with Lukas.

Or if you are a woman. Lukas just gave me a fabulous cut that everyone tells me is the best I've ever had.

Finally, a haircut without a headache! (Finally, a salon that isn't a toxic wasteland!)

I am sensitive to harsh scents and most salons give me a migraine. The environmentally-conscious products that World uses smell natural and fresh.
The atmosphere is friendly, peaceful and professional. I really enjoyed having my hair cut by Johanna. The results are fantastic. Thank you!
