Harvest Wagon
Harvest Wagon stocks a great selection of fruit and vegetables. The quality is tough to beat but the prices are a lot higher here than elsewhere in Toronto.

I work across the street from here and it really sucks when I forget to bring fruit to work and want something. Last week I ended up paying $1.69 for ONE peach! And it wasn't even a very big one! I nearly choked coughing up the cash for it, considering I had just bought an entire basket of Ontario peaches at the grocery store for $1.99. Taught me a very fine lesson in remembering to bring my lunch!

I have been a Harvest Wagon fan since they opened their store on Eglinton years ago. When I can't get there, I visit their location on Yonge St. The old saying applies, "You get what you pay for", the finest quality, fantastic assortment, great service and advice!

I love cooking with great ingredients but Harvest Wagon pushes the boundary of ones wallet. I only go here when I want a speciality ingredient but the term you get what you pay for maybe true but I think they are just appealing to their demographic and neighbourhood.

OMG, just went to their new store for the first time in years. It is amazing!! I stopped going when all the construction was going on years ago. Just found it difficult going down Yonge St. and arriving at the temporary store which didn't really impress me. It was smaller and the busy line ups at the cash were ackward since I was always in someone's way, and then I had to go all around the building to get to my car. I shopped at their Eglinton Store for a while but then Harvest Wagon sold it and it hasn't been the same. I have been going to Whole Foods but these large grocery stores are nothing like the small family run businesses. I happened to be in the area of Summerhill and decided to go in and check it out. Wow!! Was I ever impressed by the freshness. The fruits and vegetables looked so good and the prepared foods looked so appetizing. I didn't know they carried all this now. So I ended up shopping and came home with some cooked foods, ummmmm!! The family loved it. Hats off to the Harvest Wagon and their staff. I wish them well and I am so happy to go back to my old shopping routine....Yonge St. I also love the LCBO right there.

OVERRATED AND OVERPRICED! not a fan. Summerhill fruit market has way better prepared foods and their prices are more reasonable.
