Friendly Magnolia Fine Foods

Posted by John Hargraft / Posted on June 10, 2008

magnoliafinefoodsFriendly Magnolia Fine Foods is a wonderful little grocery found in little Italy, just West of Euclid street. Full of fresh fruit, vegetables, and cheeses. Lots of groceries, homemade desserts and made to order sandwiches await inside.

The Friendly Magnolia is a waste of time. This grocery store is small and unappealing along with horribly flithy conditions, unrefrigerated produce, and deli counter that is a bacterial playground. This place is a rip off and capitalizes upon the notion of local and organic fare. The products carried are simply over priced versions of common items. This is not a neighbourhood treasure, but another kick in the pants to the local green grocer

This store is one of my favorite store... I can find many kinds of products like something you never see at big super markets or some corner stores.
I like to browse this store, and look for some new hot items, or some Japanese maccha tea from Japan, many kinds of spices ... you can find them with organic, and well I like there chocolate selection!
You will spend your time there for sure if you like to cook or eat ;)

This store is overpriced, they play upon the reputation of organic foods to mark their prices way too high. Worst of all their produce is never very fresh and hardly any of it is refrigerated.

The store is not overpriced but they are suplementing their income by stealing hydro. There is a third floor apartment and their box is connected to two industrial fridges in the store. The owners have been approached about this and have done nothing. The two tenants of the apartment are being charged for these fridges and the scammers from the store don't care. Big time scammers. I wouldn't shop there simply for this reason.

I said above that the store is not overpriced. I meant to say it's not only overpriced but that they are theives.
