Flickr Forum '08: Christmas

Thanks for featuring "Santa's Wives Club". I really wanted to get a few shots of the The Bay's windows at Yonge & Queen so I headed down on one of the coldest days this year. My fingers were getting that numb burning feeling that a really good wind chill imparts by the time I got to this one. Surprisingly there were about 6 or 7 tourists merrily snapping away with cameraphones and point&shoots at each window and blocking all the good angles despite the cold. As my core temperature neared hypothermia levels I was finally able to get a relatively unobstructed shot of this wonderful retro (some might say archaic) scene of Santa relaxing with his six female companions.

#3 is my shot of Zanta, taken on Gay Pride Day in 2007. For Christmas last year I added the blurb and printed out a few cards of this image for some friends. While Zanta hasn't been around as much in 2008, the image still brings (mostly) smiles. :)
