The blogTO Flickr Forum is a weekly sampling of themed photographs taken by Torontonians and aims to not only feature the talent they possess, but also spur dialogue and reveal the stories behind the images.

Today's collection of Toronto photographs is made up of responses to our call for photos that fit the theme "TRANSIT". These images were all recently submitted to the blogTO Flickr pool.

To the photographers: we'd love to hear about your photos. A little info on where it was taken and the story behind the photo is always a great start.

To the rest of you, feel free to ask questions to the artists, submit photos to the blogTO Flickr pool for next week's consideration, or just sit back and enjoy our weekly mosaic.

- If you have a photo already in the pool, and you would like it to be considered, remove the photo from the pool and re-add it. Only photos added in the past week will be considered.

Hey thanks for adding my shot - 'The Bars'. It's a shot on College street, riding to a morning yoga class after leaving Sleep Is For The Dead at the Whippersnapper on College and Clinton. Ironically, the opening for the show was last night.

I truly enjoy shooting while riding, and this was lots of fun!

Thanks for adding "Stop Motion" For people that like the technical details This was shot with a 1953 Zeiss Contax rangefinder using Kodak Tri-X ISO400 film which was pushed to ISO 800 in development hence the serious grain. I used a dark orange filter to allow shooting at ISO 160 in the bright harsh light.

You didn't really want to know all that did you:)

Thanks for the feature. My shot "Minor Turbulence" (top right corner) was taken when a friend and I were out near a (not so photogenic) abandoned quarry near Guelph on Tuesday. I noticed the blips in the contrail lines, that suggested a slightly bumpy ride. I could almost hear the captain speaking, asking passengers to take their seats.

@Ryan: maybe I'm just a photo geek, but I LOVE that kinda of technical detail!!! thanks for sharing!

@padrin: thanks for stopping by. I was curious where that was taken.

Thanks for featuring my photo, "Chinatown Man and Bike".
Its part of a new series of street photography that I'll be doing called "Street and Click"-- hopefully I'll be shooting much of it, especially during the summer.

As for technical data, there's only one thing you need to know-- it was shot from the hip. :D

Thank you MikeR & blogTO for including my photo "light walker" in this week's Flickr Forum.

This photo was taken in one of the entrance tunnels at York Mills TTC station. I took this almost as an afterthought as I was leaving the station. I turned around and shot this on the way out. In the distance there was a man also heading out and he seemed a bit suspicious as to what I was doing (embracing the climate of fear, no doubt).
During editing with photoshop, I converted to b&w and added grain to achive what you see here. I think it gives it a slightly more edgy feel.

I hope all have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you so much for adding my photos, "Day 118 - Built Ford Tough" and "Day 116 - The Tracks of St. Clair West".

Day 118 was taken during a walk south of Bloor on a sidestreet east of Bathurst. I exposed for the truck, also resulting in greater light beaming between the homes. The color temp has been played with after in PS to increase the warmth of the light.

Day 116 was taken east of Dufferin on St. Clair. It was later cropped and straightened in PS as the wide-angle lens distorted everything other than the tracks.

Thanks again... I always look forward to the awesome photos you guys present weekly.
