Flickr Forum - November 9th, 2007 - FUN

Posted by Jerrold Litwinenko / November 9, 2007

blogTO Flickr Forum fun
The blogTO Flickr Forum is a weekly sampling of themed photographs taken by Torontonians and aims to not only feature the talent they possess, but also spur dialogue and reveal the stories behind the images.

Today's collection of Toronto photographs is made up of responses to our call for photos that fit the theme "FUN". These images were all recently submitted to the blogTO Flickr pool.

To the photographers: we'd love to hear about your photos. A little info on where it was taken and the story behind the photo is always a great start.

To the rest of you, feel free to ask questions to the artists, submit photos to the blogTO Flickr pool for next week's consideration, or just sit back and enjoy our weekly mosaic.

Continue for links to larger versions, and to check out the next theme.

I could give the basic info for #1 and 6, but I'll let Air'leth do it himself... but I wanted to say that I already particularly loved those two... the first because of how well you can read the poem around the bubbles, the other one just 'cause it's my friend Jeff and as soon as I saw that one of the series I was like bam, someone's got a new profile picture. A few days later, Facebooooked.

Okay that's not why, it's 'cause Trick or Tekno on blogTO is pretty LOL.

Re: #5 This was taken by the LED lit swing on King St during Nuit Blanche. As we walked up to the swing we noticed the merry-go-round (or as we like to call it, the spin-y thing). Having seen pics taken on this before and not having actually seen one ourselves in a long time, we decided to give it a shot.

I set my camera on a Gorrillapod on one side, we started spinning around and then took a 20sec exposure. This was the first one we took and it by far turned out the best.

The thing about this moment is that to me it's what Nuit Blanche is about. For that time we played in the park we were making our own art. Participating in our own way. What made it even more fun was that other people coming to see the swing were curious what we were up to and some even joined in for a few photos.

Thanks for featuring my photo!

I took the shot of Adam rocking out during a Guitar Hero 3 gathering last weekend. Two flashes synced wirelessly, one behind and to the side of Adam, almost directly at his back, with the other bouncing off the opposite ceiling/wall corner hitting his face. It took some yelling but I did finally get Adam to show some freakin' emotion while hammering out Paint it Black.

There's a schweet one of Jerrold and Sean in my Flickr pool as well. Rokk out wit' yer cokk out bitches!
