I took this shot of the new hindu temple the day after the opening ceremony where it's located at 427 and Finch. It is made of limestone and has NO steel or wood in its construction. Most of it was made in India and sent over in pieces to be put together mostly by volunteers. You can't help to look and marvel at this beautifully complex piece of architecture.

I've yet to go and see the new temple. It's like a local, modern day version of Angkor Wat (well, not quite, but it reminds me of it). Nicely photographed, stillsinflux!

Sad teddy was taken on August St in Kensington Market where there has been some construction going on. I've seen Teddy bears before on trucks - (perhaps to judge distances in rear view mirrors?)...This one looked a bit tired and needed my attention it seemed. I can always find inspiration I the market. Creative potential is everywhere but so too are many folks living close to the edge, merely scraping by it seems.

"Artist on Yonge St."

I walk almost everywhere everyday in the downtown core. We take everything for granted as we go about our daily lives and fail to see what makes life worth living. I try and take photographs at the little things that we simply dismiss (because it's simply not important to us).

This artist has talent; as with every artist on Yonge St. They try and make a living by doing the things they love and have passion for, in which this case, is drawing. They may not make a substantial amount of money, but what's important is the passion. The passion to continue to do what they love doing. Which is why they do what they do.

Camera: Nikon D40
ISO: 200
Exposure: 1/1250 (0.001sec)
Focal Length: 50mm
Aperture: F1.8

Thanks for featuring my pic!

My shot (#3) was taken on the first night of the Just for Laughs street festival. The two in the photo were initially fully clothed, wreaking havoc on Yonge St. as part of their pyrotechnic show. In the final segment, they lit the canister in front of them with the torch, which was followed by a huge downpour of soapy water from the firetruck behind them. It was quite a scene!

My photo was taken after a shopping trip at St. Lawrence Market.? I was so tempted by all the fruit that when I got home I washed a bunch to share with friends.? It looked so colourful and tasty that I figured I better take a picture before it was all gone!

Thanks for posting my photo :)?
