Flickr Forum: June 1st, 2007
The Friday Flickr Forum would like to welcome you to June. It promises to be an exciting month full of Luminato and NXNE and so many more events. But June also means that Contact is over. I know, tear.
We're going to try to make the blow a little less harsh with a few final pics from the blogTO Contact 2007 pool. We're mixing those in with a few recent addition to our core blogTO pool. The result is a fun mosaic of portraits, city lines and good times!
The people that took the photographs have been invited to participate in discussions about them here. Anyone can start! Don't be shy!
Here are some general starter questions for all nine photographers:
Where/when was it taken?
Is there a story within or about your photograph?

Lastly, if you just need more Contact, we're moving the blogTO Contact exhibit from Brassaii to Solferino for the month of June. More on this to come...

My photograph (4. Untitled by teriyakidonut) was shot on Saturday, May 26th during Doors Open 2007. I took a ride up to the 54th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Centre for a fine view of Toronto's downtown core and lakefront.

Unfortunately, there is no cool story associated with this shot. I was just more curious about getting a closer look at the condition of First Canadian Place rather than the tour guide's schpeel about the aging interior of the TD Centre.

There were water pistols, plant spritzers, supersoakers, one-litre water bottles and even a three-litre Hydro Blitz that someone paid $60 for at Toys R Us just before the event.
This image is part of a set of photographs that are indicative of the beginning of summer. I tried to capture the fun of this free event that was publicized mostly via Facebook and word-of-mouth.
