20070330_fff.jpgThe blogTO Flickr Forum is a weekly dialogue for Torontonians and is based on their photographs and the stories behind them.

These images were recently submitted to the blogTO Flickr pool. The people that took the photographs have been invited to participate in discussions about them here. Anyone can start! Don't be shy!

Here are some general starter questions for all six nine photographers:

Where/when was it taken?

All through my years at UofT, Varsity stadium was this big expanse of land that more often than not was under construction of some kind. Despite the prestige of the area, it was pretty unsightly, and having played a few games on the field, it was desperately in need of some maintenance.

After I graduated, they decided to get some serious work on the place, so when I went back to campus earlier this year (I think it was mid-Feb) I found the stadium covered with this massive white dome. Apparently, they've done some great work with the field and they're keeping it covered for the winter. The bleachers were still going up, but in general, Varsity was feeling much more like a stadium than a wasted piece of land.

Looking at the white dome like that, surrounded by snow, I just knew I had to take a photo, so I pulled out my silly P&S camera and started looking for something to shoot through the fence surrounding the place. The door with the pylon sitting nearby immediately caught my attention, and voila!

Thanks for including me in this one. =)

Many thanks again, BlogTO, for the post!

My photo, A Toe Wreck, was taken at the same St. Patrick's Day parade as last weeks selections of mine...
The automobile paraded through Yonge and Wellesley bookended by madly grinning Irish dancers seemed the strangest piece of the event for me - just having finished JG Ballard's Atrocity Exhibition (the nucleus of his later CRASH) a few months earlier sealed the feel...

Taken from my apartment window, with a Canon EOS-400D, and a 70-200 f4L lens.

THANKS!

"darkness will take you too" was my favourite this week - really perfectly highlighting the ghostly skeletonics of our financial district at night - spooky!
Great works, all!

Thanks for including me again, guys.

Just the latest in my series of guerilla bathroom photoshoots for me, this time in a very crowded, peak time Underground Garage on King St.

Steffie C and I had to wade through a crowded dance floor to a busy, badly-lit men's. Unlike the Madison, where I was ejected, the patron in the stall actually invited me to do the shoot while he was peeing.

While I take the risk of typecasting myself in continuing this series, I have to admit it's always a lot of fun, especially in the subsequent shots on my flickrsteam - where a perfect stranger requested a urinal shoot with her.

A perfect way to make new friends!

thank you for including me!

i shot my picture at the southwest corner of yonge & dundas. while i am constantly distracted by the 'unusual' in the city, most people continued their business as usual, while chess master raul, a real fixture at this corner, was about to set up shop.

Thanks for the feature!

The gorgeous late-afternoon sunlight forced me out for a walk and photoshoot the day I took this one.

I have a "thing" for items that show their rusty goodness. This barbed wire was begging for a photo, and I though the tower made a nice, shiny backdrop!
