A ninja turtle sighting, things in disarray or not quite right, and a foil face for good measure - these and more make up this week's Flickr Forum on blogTO.

ahhh, zanta. everywhere we turn, zanta zanta zanta, the man is omnipresent...
great selections this week!
what's up with all those Now Magazine boxes?
I found the Now boxes in behind the Now building at Church & Shuter last Friday afternoon. They were gone when I swung by a couple of days later.
Many thanks to blogTO for including my photo in the Forum.
My photo "Attraction of Aluminum" is the result of a creative desire to photograph something unusual while bored at home on a lazy Sunday.
For me, photography is a powerful addiction. For many years, almost all of my conscious life is spent in search of my next composition. As I go about my daily activities, my focus is on future images and the search for different ways of capturing unusual scenes. As a young man, I was heavily influenced by a family member who had a strong creative streak. It was he than got me to thinking about seeing the world in a very different light. I have also been influenced by the work of Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray and others…..and am a follower of the avant-garde and surrealism movement.
I divide my photographic work about 50-50 into "normal" and in surreal images. I realize that the odd nature of some of my work is not everyone’s cup-of-tea, but it works for me.
This photo was taken in the washroom of my apartment with my partner as the subject. It was shot with a Canon 20D and the settings were all manual, which is my preferred way of photography.
Thanks for the inclusion and sorry about that double comment - technical hiccup.
The cranes I found on a table. They were folding a bunch for some project to send to hiroshima. Man the one of Zanta and the dude wearing the hoody are awesome!
Man, just reading my post makes me realize that I take myself waaaay too seriously.
(note to self: turn the ego down a bit)
I hope the blog Staff and all the readers have a wonderful weeken.
Green Picklehead - funnily enough I read your comment and though how shallow I was. Guess it's all about perspective.

When I expressed the sentiment to my partner that I was a "quiet" man, she damn near wet her pants she was laughing so hard.
Firstly, thanks for including my photograph, The subway exit that time forgot in this week's Flickr Forum.
The photograph is geotagged so you can see exactly where I took it; its a snap of the southern-most "exit" of the St. Clair West subway station. This emergency services entrance opens into Nordheimer Ravine, which is a part of the Sir Winston Churchill/ Roycroft Park complex. Exit is in quotation marks because it no one uses it as such. However, it does seem to get good use as a place to hang out, drink and leave old cooler boxes and LCBO bags (oh, and condo sidewalk signs).
I do think it's interesting that this area is consistently used in this way; there is a certain ambiguity to the fact that the city's green spaces are often the only place where people feel comfortable undertaking these somewhat frowned-upon social practises.
Photography is one of my most satisfying hobbies. The act of carrying a camera is a great compliment to my other acts of daily living. I love being able to have an excuse to be out and about, exploring the city with an eye out to any interesting subjects, forms or patterns that I might come across.
Hi everybody, I'm sorry I'm a bit late getting here today. My computer is acting up, so I have been using other computers belonging to various friends and family lately.
Thanks for including this picture in this week's Blog T.O. pool.
I want to see if this post 'works' before I continue... thanks again...
Hi, I have had one headache after another logging in, so please excuse this 'test post', as my last 'real post' disappeared. Thanks!

sorry about the comment system hiccups. we're working on it...
basically, if you post a comment and get an error, 9 times outta 10 it has gone through, and you'll see it if you refresh the page.
i hope that helps... we'll have a "real" fix soon (i hope).
Amazing photos all! I'm quite impressed with this week's selection, they're all fantastic. I am particularly drawn to the subway exit that time forgot. It has inspired me to go and find a few more exits similar to this...
Prediction: Zanta will be mayor of Toronto by the year 2020.
Thanks BlogTO, for posting my looks at Zanta and the Chelonian (turtle) Ninja!
Both were snapped during a St. Patrick's Day parade outside my flat at Yonge & Wellesley last weekend - there was a particularly unusual feel to the entire parade, but I felt that these two summed up the best of it.
From destroyed automobiles dragging the spirit of JG Ballard behind them, to endless processions of dancing girls dressed up as olde Irish marms... an interesting spectacle.
Thanks again for featuring my work, there's sure to be a glut of interesting parade-spectives in the coming months, as the season heats up on Yonge!

I have recently lost a good amount of weight using acai berry and colon cleanse pills and have created a blog documenting my use of it.
However, I would also like to try out the Wu-Yi weight loss teas and document my progress with that as well.
The problem is i have heard some bad things about these teas. Has anyone tried them? Did you suffer from any of the side effects?
If you're a student, like me, you should purchase health insurance coverage from the university you attend. You should check with your school to see if they offer student health insurance.
Try Universal health care, they offer affordable health insurance for individual (i.e. students), self employed, and family care. Check to see that your current health care provider accepts the health insurance you are interested in. Good luck!
