If you wanna learn how to break boards and learn self defense techniques it's a good club. If you wanna train for competition do not go here.

Have trained with Master Yae for 17 years,4th degree 6 years ago and went to Korea to take my master's certificate at the Kukkiwon 7 years ago--the only canadian to have done this so far--must be well trained and confident to be sent there--highly recommend the school for children, and especially older adults just starting out. Younger students only interested in sparring will be disappointed as many places only concentrate on sparring but you don't learn to be a sparring champ by sparring--you need a strong basic foundation first to make a champion--as master Yae was--and still is--going to compete in the power breaking again this year in Korea!!

I would have to disagree with you there Elizabeth. Having trained in both Olympic style WTF taekwondo and traditional style taekwondo in order to be sparring champion you need to be a great athlete and be a smart strategist. To be a faster runner, you gotta run. Similarly, to be great at sparring you gotta spar. Simple.
If you want to break bricks and get possible arthritis later go to this club.

This type of school teaches nothing but breaking and poomsae which I believe was antiquated techniques last I checked. So I would have to say this club isn't all that up to date or great. Anyone who stays at this club for long clearly has limited knowledge about taekwondo.

Top Clubs to train at in Taekwondo in Toronto: Young Choung, Sport TKD. They have consistently produced the most national champions.
Other clubs worthy of mentioning is Jung Ko, Chu's Martial Arts, Myung's.

I highly recommend not wasting your time at this taekwondo club.

Was thinking of joining this place could someone tell me if they give a good work out,do they go to tournaments and do they do target kicking. From the few comments i have read it sounds like all they do is breaking and poomsae.Could someone answer my question honestly perferably someone that goes there or someone who has trained there before.
