Yonge Dundas movie Toronto

Free movies & music all summer at Yonge-Dundas square

If you're looking to have fun for free this summer, you can head down to Yonge-Dundas Square. While it might be one of the busiest spots in the city, this public space offers wallet-friendly entertainment options, including movie nights and concerts.

This year, Yonge-Dundas Square is partnering with the nearby Massey Hall for a lunchtime music series. This weekly event, featuring a varied musical lineup, will unfold every Monday from May 9 to June 15 between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. It'll then pick up again September 3 to October 5.

You can also catch musical performances in the square every Friday night (starting at around 8 p.m.) from June 14 to September 9.

On the outdoor movie front, Yonge-Dundas Square will screen free flicks every Tuesday evening from June 28 until August. Expect the opening credits to start rolling at around 9 p.m. each week.
