Filmmaker Profile: Samir Mallal

Forget about Hollywood and Bollywood. In 2009, local filmmaker Samir Mallal introduced the world to Nollywood, Nigeria's explosive homegrown movie industry, where Jesus and voodoo vie for screen time. The doc was Nollywood Babylon. It screened at Sundance, the MOMA and was covered by the NY Times, LA Times and NY Post.
