Peter Kuplowsky Welcome to the Toronto Portraits. Every Friday starting this week we're going to profile a young, dynamic Torontonian, and each week we're photographing them in a different Toronto neighbourhood. Up first:

Peter Kuplowsky, 21 years old. UofT Campus.

President of the Cinema Studies Student Union at UofT (those neat kids who put on the Free Friday Films series at Innis), Peter is also the Programming Manager for the Horror / Fantasy film festival Toronto After Dark, held annually in October at the Bloor Cinema. This June he's organizing a Bloor screening of the cult classic Troll 2, often cited as the worst film ever made. Peter was brought up in northern Etobicoke, but the bright lights of cinematic academia have made St. George and Bloor his new base of operations.

Nice one! Peter Kuplowsky rocks my cinematic world. But you forgot to show his signature Indiana Jones hat, that he wears outdoors.

Adam we all know Peter wears that hat indoors outdoors, any where that it isnt considered a religious sin.

Oh, God, too funny. Let's try to make a serious face and look philosophically into the distance. Artsy kids these days are so cute in their attempts to portray depth of thought and character. (Oh well, when weren't they?)

Chephy, hahaha. That's exactly the first thing I thought too. Just didn't have the vocabulary to articulate my disdain. Your comment made my day. There's hope in the word.
