In the Toronto Film Challenge: 1 of 4

I'm in. Are you? Next weekend I'll be one member of a team of nutters filmmakers putting together a film in a mere 48 hours. For fun! And, you know, to win. (Prizes are: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Editor, Best Original Screenplay, and Audience Choice).

The TFC countdown begins Friday night. The teams gather at 6pm, and at exactly 8pm, each team (10 people or less) will receive a 'challenge pack' containing a genre, prop, location, and crisis (kind of like Clue). The team must shoot and edit their film by Sunday at 8pm. Sleep is sure to be scarce and caffeine will doubtless be flowing.

After the mania of shooting, the films are all screened at Innis Town hall June 27-29 and July 4-6. Everyone has to cool their heels until July 7th to find out who won.

Only days left until the deadline to enter this weekend's Film Challenge. Think you're up for it? You have until this Wednesday, the 21st, by exactly 6pm to scare up your team and 250$.

Bring it. And keep an eye on blogTO, where I will report from the belly of the beast. I apologize now for any fatigue-induced spelling errors.
