Festival Cinemas Respond

Chris McQuillan, the owner of the Festival Cinemas, has a thoughtful response as comment #21 in our post about the closing of the Royal, Revue and Kingsway. He points out that the cinemas have never been meaningfully profitable, and combats the suggestion that programming more indie flicks would offer a quick fix. He's also open to anyone making him and his family a fair offer as he would love to see someone keep the cinemas operating. It's worth a read if you're interested in the issue.
