@Maria - True. The King East page will give you more info about the neighbourhood surrounding the St. Lawrence Market.

@Ryan - Assuming you're only ordering one set of maps it should fit in a standard P.O. Box.]]>

Question for anyone involved in the map making. If someone were to order them from the site, what size package do they get shipped in? Would it fit in a standard P.O. Box?]]>

The neighbourhood section about St. Lawrence Market is about the market only, and not about the neighbourhood.]]>

Would be nice if those Toronto Urban Maps could be merged with the streetcar/bus routes of the beta version of the new TTC website somehow. Maybe smaller versions of a 500 m radius, to be printed to PDF.]]>

@Ryan L.:

I could, but the neighbourhood pages don't have anywhere near the information the maps do. Better than nothing though...thanks for the tip.]]>

Rene, you could always print to pdf instead of saving the html. When you have the option to select printer, just pick adobe pdf, hit print, give it a filename, and voila.]]>

The interactive maps are cool, as well as the individual neighbourhood sections, but there are times when I'm out on the town with my laptop and it would be nice to be able to bring up the info even if I can't get online at the time.

I'll just save the neighbourhood pages I might need. The maps look great -- I'm sure I'll pick up the paper copies soon, but it would still be nice to have the PDF option for the geeks like me out there...there might be more of us than you think.]]>

Rene - the maps are printed on paper that is 21 inches wide by 16.5 inches tall. Most people don't have printers that can accomodate this sort of format. So, for the web, we thought it would be better to build out our specific neighbourhood sections - like http://www.blogto.com/leslieville - or to use our interactive Toronto map:

Still no option to download them?

I'm glad you're concerned about being carbon-neutral but if you made them available for download, people like me could just get the maps as PDFs and not have to use any paper at all.]]>
