I agree, Dundas is definitely going thru a revitalization. They're are several different pockets on Dundas that are going thru these changes. The Junction which is further away on Dundas W (between Bloor and Runnymede) is definitely on the move, new galleries, eateries and studios are cropping up. We moved into this area about 3 years ago and since then you can see the change happening, new loft developments and in-fill projects, there is also a commercial condo development coming to Keele/Dundas http://www.nexxtcorp.com/projects_current/keele.html next year. But the most important feature of this neighbourhood is its proximity to major arteries and amenities. A No-Frills, Wal-Mart, Loblaws, Dominion, Future Shop, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona and Staples all within walking/biking distance. It lies in close proximity to Bloor West Village, Roncessvales, High Park and the Western Beaches area. The feature that I like about this stretch of Dundas eventhough the above mentioned commericial businesses exist, the main strip of Dundas West that runs thru this neighbourhood is still very organic, artistic and small scale and less commercial than most other neighbouhoods, when growth is orgainc, it builds a much more vibrant and resourceful society.
