Cafe Brazilliano at Bathurst and Dundas has veal and chicken cutlet sandwiches which are to die for! They beat California Sandwiches by a long shot...
Try the chicken sandwich and dip it in their special chili if they have it that day!

mmmmmmmmmmm I think I'll head there on my way home from work...]]>

Merci Mon Ami in Liberty Village has overall some tasty sandwiches! The side salad is amazing and to finish it off with a fruit kebob seals the deal for me. I eat there 3 - 4 times a week and they are very friendly. Line ups are at the max on Wednesdays which is their Burger day... best burger I have ever had by far.]]>

My vote is California Sandwiches. I call ahead and place an order before picking up.
They are always fresh, not greasy, crispy, and delicious.

I lived in Italy, Little Italy -- these are very good. period.]]>

My fav. place is Vinny's Panini on Dupont. Choice of veal, steak, chicken, sausage, meat ball and veggie. All the choices are good but my fav. is veal. Call ahead though. They are very busy during lunch hour. Wait time is usually minimum 10-15 mins. Longest I've waited was 45 mins for about 10 sandwiches. Typically when people try Vinny's they say that the steak there are better than the ones at Californias. And the veals at Californias are better than Vinny's.

Mustachio's certainly does not know its way around an eggplant, and neither does anyone who would recommend it based on its veggie sandwiches. There's a place upstairs in the market which is much better. Also, since when is knowing how to make good things with eggplant a rare skill?

Urban Herbivore was disappointing, although I have not had anything besides a sandwich - there is much better food to be had in the area. Its sibling Fressen is the awesome, however.

And, Brick Street Bakery always smells delicious, but its veggie offering was not. Maybe the meat fare is better.

Come on people, make better lists. I mean, how do you get sandwiches wrong?!]]>

Merci Mon Ami is a total up and comer though.
Also, can't wait for Chipotle to open ? I wish it wasn't all the way at Yonge and Dundas though...]]>

Sandwich box has changed my life...I have eaten there every day (sometimes twice a day) since my first sandwich there 3 weeks ago...the ingredients matter not...everything they make is delicious beyond comprehension. Worth every single penny spent. Try and keep quiet about it though as the line-ups are growing.]]>
