I have tried this place more than once -in order to give it a fair review. I live in the area so really wanted it to be good. It is awful! I can't believe how many reviews say otherwise. They must be friends of the owner. I have had very good fish and chips, but this place doesn't deliver. The service is nice, the idea is great, but the food is horribly, horribly greasy and cooked in old smelly fryer fat (that is what it smells and tastes like. The batter is over cooked and the whole thing is bad. I haven't had a good experience on 3 attempts. Like I said -the premise is good, but the food is far too greasy, the batter too thick and sopping with soaked up old fryer fat. Bad, bad fish and chips!]]>

I've always passed this place as I live on the north side of Broadview and finally decided to pop in and get some Halibut. HOLYCRAPINPANTS!!! Soooo good. I absolutely love the classic hand-battered choice pieces of fish and the fries - though seemingly greasy as all hell, actually are very VERY good. I'm going there again today actually hoping for another awesome experience. 5 star rating from a very picky eater.]]>

The gluten free fish and chips are amazing, my boyfriend can't tell the difference and unlike most places they do not charge extra for it. ]]>

This is a great little place for anyone looking for a delicious fish and chips meal.

They also offer gluten-free fish and chips (which I have tried and love!), so this is a must visit for anyone who cannot eat wheat, yeast or gluten - fabulous!

The staff is very friendly, aswell.]]>

I love Deep Blue Fish & Chips. The fish is never dry; always moist and tasty. The price is very reasonable. I skip the tartar sauce and head straight for their basil/thai dipping sauce. ]]>

Haven't tasted a better fish and chippy in the city... or anywhere really. It's kind've like when a very talented chef makes something simple, amazingly well. ]]>
