It's totally safe for the eyes. The actual imagery is displayed by just a standard video projector. The imagery is "drawn" using a green laser pointer, no more harmful than the dozens of beams floating through the air in nightclubs around the world.

The issue with airline pilots is that they are being visually distracted or temporarily blinded while flying a plane - a bit different situation than someone peaking out their apartment window.

What makes me most happy about all of this is the police response. This story really does reflect well on Toronto and those tasked with protecting the city.]]>

I know that the stories about airline pilots being blinded by kids on the ground with laser pointers are bull, but this appears to be a much more powerful laser.
