Weird, looks like BlogTO doesn't support accented letters. Sorry, Jose Gonzalez.]]>

Thanks for the heads-up! I saw Jos? Gonz?lez do a free, secret show in the basement of Sonic Boom a couple of months ago, and it was great. Way, WAY too short, but great. Here's hoping Flogging Molly plays more than three songs.

Mike: According to allmusic.com, the Mollies got their first record out a year before the Murphys. Besides, the Mollies are definitely Irish Celtic, where as the Murphys have Scottish Celtic tendencies to say the least. The absence of the highland pipes goes a long way in my books. Plus, they've got all these Oi associations (the Business, Cock Sparrer) that make me uncomfortable.

Dennis: They're good when they play acoustic sets. It's a testament to the strength of their songwriting.]]>

Flogging Molly is pretty good, I'm going to try to make it out to store for the acoustic set.]]>

I'm no expert on Celtic-punk but haven't the Dropkick Murphy's been doing this for years? ]]>
