Actually Jonas, Jean is in the kitchen doing all the cooking. The lovely, buddha like gentleman who serves you is her husband Harry.

This place is amazing. The food is always fresh, fast and delicious.

This is honestly my favorite resaurant in the world. From the outside it doesnt look that special, but the clean and elegant Thai decore is wonderful.. not to mention the food is exqusit like no other Thai food I've ever had. Thai food is my favorite cuisine, and I have been vegitarian all my life. My family lives right around the corner and we always go here for healthy affordable, DECADENT food. Jean serves you himself and will often recomend some new dish theive just made.
Go with a group a people if you can, so you can try more than just one meal. Each dish is exceptionally tastey.

Love-rant over.

I walked by this place so decided to give a try. I ordered Pad Thai (with no garlic), Tom Kha coconut soup, Assam Ocra, spring rolls, and Ginger Chillies Eggplant. They were all very mildly seasoned (some spicy) and I liked all of them! I could do without mock meat but I like that star anise flavour so I enjoyed it. Service was prompt and decent. I tend to avoid vegetarian asian places because sometimes they can be a little dodgy, but this place is very clean and decent, very affordable, and their food tastes great. And they are open on Sunday nights. Tu-Su 5-10pm.]]>

I dined at Jean's Vegetarian last week and I savoured every bite. I ordered the Tom Yum soup with mock chicken and the cold salad rolls. Both were delicious. The soup was gently spiced. The chewy bits of mock chicken were okay, but I would have enjoyed the soup just as much with no mock in it. The salad rolls were chewy, crunchy and fresh. The dipping sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste but I ate it anyway. The restaurant was impeccably clean - including the toilets! The service was efficient and friendly. The place was buzzing with patrons on a Friday evening. Definitely a good sign. I live in the neighbourhood and I'm glad I found a super affordable (i.e. cheap) place to dine. ]]>
