It is too bad that you had such a bad experience at a 'chocolate' shop'. I was just surfing looking for chocolate places to visit and I ran into this one just north of the city.
I PROMISE you that when you taste their chocolates it won't taste like soap. They import the raw chocolate and make everything on their premises. They have been in business for 18 years and it is a mother/daughter team. Charlotte and Linda, combine their names and began Charlinda Belgian Chocolates.
They are just 40 minutes north of Toronto. Visit the web site at www.charlinda.com and perhaps you will feel like tasting the real thing and go check it out.
With both Easter and Mother's Day coming up very soon, you will not only please your own palate, but sure you will find a few gifts. Everyone loves chocolate!
Take Care

i don't like to post negative comments but i strongly disagree with this place being named one of the best in toronto for chocolate ... the shop is dusty and the staff is rude and their lavendar truffle tastes like soap ... try subtle flavours please ... on the upside it is located in Kensington Market which can't be beat for a great sunday afternoon]]>
