Yes, it's really "whet" in the phrase "to whet one's appetite." It means to sharpen, or stimulate.

Lovely photos - I'm going on Saturday and I can't wait!

I totally make that same tequila drink at home... which was the only place I thought I could find it in this town. Same with mole verde.

After so much disappointment trying out Mexican spots in Toronto, I find this review is inspiring me to try again...

Oh, how I want you, Cochinita pibil!

btw, chicken with a bone and more than the breast affords more flavour to the mole, but isn't crucial to the deliciousness. I've tried both ways. :)

I love this place but I don't think they like me - the last time I went there I left my phone behind and it rang 3 times before I realized and ran back to pick it up. My ringtone is the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song. Not cool.

Awesome, I have yet to save up enough money for this place but it's right by me and smells DELICIOUS!!!

I also love the live music on Friday/Saturday nights... someone in my building told me they have a huge cinquo de mayo celebration too. Great review.

Omar, it's grilled? Wow, never even heard of it. It is definitely served with breast often, but yeah, it is boiled, and then they use the broth where it boiled to make the mole. Mmmh, I'm hungry now. Mmmh, I see they have tacos al pastor... I wonder how good they are. Now I have to go!

As a Mexican, I have to say serving grilled chicken breast with mole sounds foreign.
In Mexico you almost always get mole with stewed chicken or turkey leg or thigh. I'm sure it's good with grilled breast too, though.
And the food does look beautiful in your photos!

Some of the best Mexican I've ever had in the city. No doubt. Did they have the little Mariachi band play when you were there?
