Just wanted to clear up one point regarding the 2008 Junction Centennial Celebration:

April 14, 1908 was the day that the Junction, as it is more informally and fondly known as, officially became the City of West Toronto by the Province of Ontario.

The area didn't stay an independent city for long - the Junction only remained incorporated as the City of West Toronto for a little more than a year, when in 1909 it amalgamated with the City of Toronto (to help keep Toronto from bankruptcy.)

Hi Virginia,

Could you email me at gatheringspace@gmail.com so that we can talk about doing something together for the Centennial. Sounds great!

Hi: Our daycare, Junction Daycare, in Annette Public school runs all summer and would like to visit the Gathering Sapce. During the week of July 21-25, we're doing a theme on history of the Junction area,s o this week would be perfect. But another week in the summer could also be arranged. Let us know if this is something that schoola ge kids could get ivolved in. We'd particularly like them to be able to create something for the Junction Centennial.
