Ha! Thanks for the edit, Ryan. I think your original post made it sound like you were calling the 2Ks lo-fi "like it's a bad thing." I hope you see where I'm coming from that a band can't have a lo-fi live show, unless they get a bad mix (which isn't their fault) or they intentionally sabotage their amps or something. Anyways, I will miss the shows, as I'm going to be out of town, but Jeff from the Drake has put together an amazing looking festival.

But I still can't imagine what you hear that is Progessive, Metal or Techno when you listen to APTBS.]]>

So sorry if you don't like ONE single band description. Call it what you want, I hear something I'd call progressive techno-metal. Still, mayhaps you'll appreciate the edits I made :)

also, The Two Koreas ARE lo-fi. It's low-production quality alt-rock. That's not saying the music is bad, it's just got really low production quality. Check my previous profile of them; I only profiled bands I really liked. The Two Koreas are AWESOME, just don't tell me that their MySpace page music sounds like a major label pumped a million bucks into the recordings. The underproduced bit was in comparison to the electronic music on the last day, of which there's an obvious difference/contrast.

That said, enjoy the shows Mister J!]]>

Hi. I'm usually not one to quibble about questionable band descriptions, having come up with many of my own of the years, but describing A Place to Bury Strangers as "progressive techno metal" is WAY off-base. Might I suggest "overamplified rock'n'roll wall-of-noise-pop in the Jesus and Mary Chain tradition"?

Also, it seems kind of petty to pick on the Two Koreas' production, when you are talking about a live show, not a record.]]>
