<p>I saw a lot of art made by designers at this show, but I didn&#39;t see any design done by artists. Bit of a one-sided conversation isn&#39;t it? but what strikes me is not how &quot;arty&quot; these pieces by designers are, but retrospectively, how DESIGNY a lot of art is these days.</p><p>One of the contributers writes that he used to struggle to keep his art separate from his design, but now he realizes that there&#39;s no reason to. I disagree with that. I think artists have to open their eyes a little and try their damnedest to differentiate their work from commercial art or graphic art.</p><p>&nbsp;Another contributer states that Andy Warhol and Rauschenberg are among his favourite graphic designers. That&#39;s accurate. They only became artists when people bought their work to hang on the wall.</p>]]>
