i've been stopping by for dinners since the place opened (at least 10 times) and i have zero complaints about the food. i typically get the bison burger with a side of sweet potato fries or an order of poutine. easy. plus, it's the kind of place the parents will eat at without complaint.

but the ongoing problems with service have become too much. not once have i had what i would consider "good" service. forget "great" or "exceptional". not a chance. the last time i was there i got myself a menu after waiting for 10 minutes, and then went to the counter to order after waiting another 15. the girl working was completely disinterested. i wound up getting my dinner as take out and i won't be returning. there are plenty of restaurants in the neighbourhood that will appreciate my business.]]>

I went there on a Sunday and was served by a mature blonde lady. The service was absolutely atrocious.]]>

I tried the chicken wrap with fries and It wasn't horrible but considering my hunger, ribs poking out, I was expecting some sweet satisfaction... I got full. My clothes smelled like wood smoke and as much as I like camping I much prefer to stay smelling fresh and clean when I'm not tying tarps between trees, making lean two's and ya baby, getting d-er-unk. One more thing, has anyone else felt like the people working there hate their lives?]]>

I wanted to inform anyone going there that there is no "wood grill" whatsoever - it's a deep fryer folks. I've also heard first hand reports from individuals who have worked there that there are mice/rats. ]]>

I just went there yesterday.

The menu looked so good, it was hard to choose what to eat. I ended up sharing sweet potato fries with garlic mayo with my friend - which were amazing. Then,I had the falafel wrap that was so big I couldn't finish it with a side salad.

Good selection for vegetarians and very reasonable prices. I'll definately be going back.

And Lister, ty for the heads up about bringing cash.]]>

I've been there once with my girlfriend about two weeks back or so. The food was good. I have a few nits about some of the ingredients used but that's just my personal preferences. The beer is bottle only and Ontario micro, several of which aren't commonly found. We plan on coming back for lunch/dinner and breakfast sometime.

One word of warning though, bring cash. We were told at the end of the meal upon presenting my credit card that the place is cash only. Eep! The waitress was helpful enough to suggest the white-box no-name ATM next door but the store it was in was closed (not that I intended to use one of those damned things.) So I had to walk briskly down to my bank's ATM at Spadina to withdraw cash. Karma seemed to have balanced that out by making our second round of beers disappear off the bill. I'm not sure if that was intentional on the part of the waitress or not.]]>
