although it's not fancy in any way, i find myself partial to the eggs benny at Johnny G's (on Parliament).

it's not for the faint of heart (literally i suppose) because it's 3 poached eggs and a generous dousing of hollandaise. you can get it with fries, home fries or salad. usually i opt for the salad so that i can feel ever so slightly less guilty, but honestly, there is nothing quite like fries dipped in hollandaise...

it comes with coffee and juice, and unfortunatly i can't remember the price, but i'm thinking it runs in around the $7.50 mark.

I'm with you Matt, I love my Eggs and Hollandaise, and try it everywhere I go. Recently we convinced the owner of a little no-frills cafe called The Lunchbox (Keele and Bloor) to start making it on weekends (until 2:30) and it's got to be the best I've had in the city. I get mine with roasted tomato and it's delicious. I've still gotta get out and try Petit Dejeuner and Mildred Pierce - from what I've heard they're the top two.]]>

I'd recommend BY the Way Cafe on Bloor, although it can be a bit pricey. The eggs benedict are worth the coin coughage, though.]]>

Le Petit Dejeuner does the benny with a twist of lemon - fabulous!

And this morning I had Cora's brie and mushroom version - incredible!

I'll also vouch for Pear Tree's.]]>

Have you tried Pear Tree in Cabbagetown? They have some tasty eggs benny...and about four different variations on the classic kind.]]>
