I can totally understand your problem with slow service -- especially when you first arrive somewhere, but frankly, slower service definitely has a place at cafe's like this. To a certain extend, I appreciate it.

When I head to Tequila, Green Room, Java, etc., I'm there to hang out for a while, chat, sip coffee and so on. When there's suddenly a waiter who is always checking up every few mins or surprising us with the bill after our first round of coffee, it's really annoying. Cafe's with staff who are that eager usually don't get another visit unless I'm actually in a rush. ]]>

How are slow poke servers loved? They might be nice people, good to have as friends, but they should be fired. Slow poke can also be interpreted as treating customers with contempt. If i find more than one server like that at an establishment, I figure it's part of the culture of that place, and I don't go. ]]>

the new location is great though it feels much smaller as the ceiling is lower and the long main space is narrower... and yes, the slowpoke servers are still there, and much loved.

new and different space, same great vibe! i heart tequila.]]>

Whoever is writing that blog for them should use spell check - Cauliflour? Brocilli? Bad spelling really annoys me in anything business related.

Firefox 2.0 gives a handy underline to remind me when I am misspelling - although I have yet to get en-CA/en-UK spelling working to stop it bugging me when I type "colour".]]>

I had not been in a long time because of one quirk that I hope doesn't move over: bad surely too-cool service. Maybe it's different now.

Also, the kitchen is good - clothes used to stink after going there because they cooked without an exhaust fan.]]>

Hmmm. I know a lot of folks that like Tequila for its particulars and its quirks... I hope they make the move too!]]>

I noticed the new location when I went by on the streetcar a few days ago. It's where Epicure used to be, and where The Session was for a few months. Very nice space, at least when it was Epicure.]]>
