I walked by this place just across from Pape station today. I was drawn in because of the homey neighbourhood atmosphere. This is not a trendy place and the decor may not be appealing to some fashionable people, but there was a nice mixture of laid-back patrons, young couples, family with small kids, seniors, guys... It was a lunch time on Saturday but we didn't have to wait too long to be served. Kitchen looked busy but they kept serving food constantly. I had breaded chicken with salad and it was deliciously done with decent pricing. Service was very pleasant. I would make a special trip again to try their brunch menu.]]>

I've eaten here twice and both times I was very satiated and pleased with my meal. The servings are substantial. The service is quick and the price is right. They make a fantastic homemade lemonade. The Salad Nicoise with Salmon is superb and plenty. My only little complaint would be that the potatoes in the salad were cold and appeared to be their leftover spuds medley from breakfast...not that there is anything wrong with using leftover potatoes - just don't serve them cold, even if they are going in a salad. Saturday and Sunday mornings is always packed, get there early or you will have to wait to be seated. ]]>
