great food, shitty staff. i got the bubble and squeak breakfast and it was amaaaaazing (with goat cheese) and my boyfriend got the classic breakfast. the rosemary potatoes are great, the scrambled eggs were perfect, and we could hardly finish. our bill was about $20 and that included coffee. i would go back despite the waitresses all being cranky and rude.]]>

This place has great food but has a serious problem with the staff that work the dining area. I don't know if I've been to a breakfast place more unorganized than this. On two consecutive visits (my last two) the wait staff were uninterested in seating anybody. They are too busy and no one seems to be a dedicated host. When I finally found a table myself the couple next to us got the wrong orders, and then when their actual orders came one of their sides was missing and the waiter picked it up off another patrons table. The couple recognized the problem and refused the side immediately. My food was great, but not hot/warm. It doesn't surprise me that with a staff that confused/overworked that my food sat on the counter for a while before being served to me.

To sum it up, my experience with Musa is great food, but a horribly frustrating brunch experience. I will not go back. I don't need the stress on a sunday morning. ]]>

I love Musa. Brunch there is amazing, same with dinner. Reasonably priced and in my 'hood. I could go back every week! Tables were a little crammed last weekend but the food made up for it.]]>

My girlfriend and I had a pretty lousy meal there recently. We started with the mussels that came swimming in a lemongrass broth that was salted to death. Then we both had the falaffels and fries special. There was way too much food, which is only a negative 'cause it was kind of inedible. The dry, crumbly falaffels came in bland pitas with a mountain of fries. The ketchup bottle on our table became an integral part of the meal since it provided desperately needed moisture to all the bread, starch and salt. We both gave up after only half our falaffels and despite pigging out on fries, there was still tons left on my plate. Oh yeah, and it was freezing cold. We were eating with our jackets on as were several other customers.

I have had good brunches there so maybe it was just a bad night for them. ]]>

Overated. I had the Steak frites. Although my steak was well cooked to my taste, the accompanying fries (not very crisp) were smothered in a soy sauce vegetable stirfry disaster which should have been in the trash and not on my plate. Presenting the steak above the frites, smothered in the putrid saute created a big brown soggy mess.

My boyfriend's moussaka was another disaster. It came out looking like some sort of building material. The potatoes were chunkily cut, overloaded with bland bechamel and layered with greasy overly soggy eggplant.

Will not return. I do not know what the hype is all about.
