Pizzaland has good pizza but def not the best. It was voted number 1 because it offered $25 gift cards if we voted for it. A more honest list would not allow such contests as people are obviously going to vote for something if they receive an incentive such as a contest with great rewards. Btw i did not appreciate pizzaland deleting my comment on its fb page when i pointed out it was skewing the results by rewarding us for voting. I expect to be allowed to voice my opinion and not have it deleted. ]]>

Some of the comments here are ridiculous, i agree with Tommy. Stop arguing and have some pizza.

Speaking of which, has anyone had any pizza with a sea food twist to it ? and i don't mean just plain anchovies.

A sea food pizza for the sea food lover, and kosher or hallal if possible. But then again Everything from the ocean is hallal regardless so that shouldn't be an issue :)]]>

Eric, you're obviously very ignorant. I'm Italian and I'm a convert to Islam. Halal means permissible. So for muslims who only eat "halal" they're usually referring to the fact that the meat has been slaughtered in accordance with Islamic Law (and does not contain pork). For me personally, pizza is pizza and it's all halal (minus the pork), so if you really want a good pizza the city has an abundance of places to get your fix. No need to be an A-hole.]]>

BS, all of it. Even Italians don't agree on what constitutes an authentic pizza, but there are certainly such things as recipes, in Italian, for pizza with chicken. What they don't tend to do is load a pizza with multiple ingredients. And FYI, it's entirely possible for a pizza to be halal without having obviously halal ingredients such as halal meat on it. Great post - thanks for this! Trust me, this is super helpful for the tens of thousands of Muslims looking for good halal food in the city. You might also include Pizza Pide - it's Turkish pizza, regularly features in lists of best pizza in Toronto, and pretty epic - you have it featured here: http://www.blogto.com/restaurants/pizzapide

Also, I'd LOVE to hear where I can find great halal steaks. Haven't had a good steak since moving to Canada.

I mean really, for any restaurateurs reading this - it's easy enough to get good halal meat, and that's the ONLY change you need to make - add a halal supplier. Bingo - new market.]]>

Great list! Thanks for giving comparative prices - really helps a lot. Kind of surprised to see only one Mississauga location. ]]>
