Ali's roti is really dry, whereas the curry is runny and watered down. Personally I perfer Roti Lady, for the better quality and resonable price range.]]>

Re:Mrs. Bonanza
I'm sorry for your lack of intelligence but, Ali's is not 'guyanese' but trinadian. Therefore it would not be "authentic guyanese food".]]>

My family and I have been coming to Ali for years. It's very authentic guyanese food. Back home we don't roll the curries into our rotis. In fact it is within Canada that I first saw this happen; my family and I laughed for hours about it.

Bacchus is just hype, backed by people who are afraid to get their hands dirty. Ali's is authentic]]>

I love Ali!!

It's a more home-style food than you get at Bachus, whiich I like, and also a much more home-style vibe, which I love.

Bacchus is delicious, but when I eat there, I feel like I could just as easily be in the Annex or on College Street. Eating at Alis is a real taste of parkdale in the best possible way - it's lively and busy with all sorts of people coming through.

For gourmet Roti: Bacchus. For spicy, sloppy Parkdale food and living: Ali.
