Just returned from my first visit to MI:

1. The interior is clean, surprisingly large and simple - a place to order in the front, and a place to sit and eat in the back. Although not much in the way of ambiance, it is pleasant inside, with the few decorations creating a Southern Indian atmosphere. (Another Indian element: water glasses are metal cups.)

2. I went specifically for the Roti, but the menu included a nice selection of Byriani and Dosa as well. No deserts.

3. The roti were great - definitely a fork & knife roti rather than a pick-up-and-eat roti, but also not a huge saucy mess. The roti filling pretty much stayed in the bread as I ate.

I shared two rotis - a butter chicken and a lamb (both with potato). I'd never had 'Indian-style' roti before, and the butter chicken roti was absolutely as good as it sounds.

Very satisfying - definitely worth a second visit.]]>

Mother India is amazing. Of the many Indian food restaurants I've gone to ... this was well priced and tasted great. Highly recommended.]]>
