Try PALLUCCI on Millwood and Mt. Pleasant. My wife and I think it's one of the best neighborhood restaurants around. They are part of Summerlicious this year, and their menu is stellar.]]>

I may be alone on this, but I like the 'licious series. It forces me to get out and try new restos. I got a reservation at Canoe, albeit 10pm on a Monday, but what the hell?]]>

I love the idea of summer/winterlicious, but you definitely feel like a second class citizen. Went to Thuet a few years back and we received our starters within a minute of ordering (we hadn't even ordered drinks yet) and the whole meal was over within 30 mins. I really felt like they wanted us out of there and we had to ask the guy if we were allowed to stay for another drink. That was the worst example, but it was a similar experience regardless of where we went. It made us really uncomfortable actually, feeling like you're not welcome and being seen as an inconvenience. Won't be repeating this experience.]]>

As a city foodie I hate Summer/Winterlicious. I feel like I'm being packed into a cattle car, move 'em in, feed 'em quick, quick, quick and then move'em out. Oh and if I have an Amex card I get preferential treatment. It's not pretty when the minute you sit down your server informs you that you've basically got an hour then it's hasta la vista baby. Noted that some of my real fav food places aren't on the list....Table 17; Weezie's; The Niagara Street Cafe; Cowbell; Foxley. Thank goodness for small mercies. Don't I sound like a cranky b$#@ch! :) I'll take a pass on the Blahlicious festival that is supposed to be so wonderful. ]]>

Going to North 44. FYI, when I called at 10:30 AM today, all their Saturdays were already booked up.

Mildred's Temple Kitchen serves very nice food and the service is friendly; I've been twice and both times were stellar. ]]>

The only way to get a Canoe reservation is to have an AMEX and try for the front of line reservations (they have been taking reservations for the last 2 days)....

It is worthwhile to call back randomly though... Oh, and keep an eye out of they extend the 'licious menu this time. I know last time in teh winter a bunch of restaurants extended for a week or so... Considering the state of many restaurants, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again this time.
