This is a great place to check out. For those who can't find something to put on their blank walls--get up and go there. You will be pleasantly surprised at the creativity. ]]>

i checked this place out while they were doing their live painting event, bumping bob marley out the front door eating chitos pizza on a bench outside while that tall guy with the long hair was painting a character on a canvas. then they were taking audio samples of everyone who walked into the gallery...this is definitely not your average art gallery. these dudes seem to have some next creations going on. definately worth checking out.]]>

I disagree with the first post as well, as I do with most art snobs. Seeing the faces and eyes that Anser has put around the city has caught my eye amidst all the throwies, tags and occasional piece. Not all street art has to match the caliber of Ron English. The faces are in no way terrible especially considering the medium and the media used. When getting up, you don't exactly always have an hour to spend making the most amazingly awesome piece of art. Most of the time (especially near the downtown core) I bet you have maybe a 5-20 minute window before there's a chance you'll get caught putting something on a wall.]]>

Totally disagree with this last comment. Anser's artwork is off the hook. Maybe his tagging is not exceptional (I don't know much about graffiti), but the painted lady is beautiful and has been followed by Torontonians for months now (on flickr etc.). I had no idea that Funktion Gallery existed but I stumbled across it on a three month chase for the painted lady and her creator. I bought merchandise from these guys for Anser's exhibit which included prints and a great hoodie. The space is awesome, the kids are cool. Nice post by Blog TO. We also thought that the gallery and artwork was blog-worthy so check us out. ]]>

I've seen this guys graffiti on my way to school, and inside my school as well. gotta say, it's really terrible and they should stick to drawing in their sketchbook till they're good enough to vandalize things]]>
