Great interview and great talent..met him at a show in Vancouver at Crush back in September of this year where he spun, scratched and rhymed seamlessly. It was nuts and impressive to see him rip those pioneers to pieces and pour the crowd drinks.lol. Seemed genuine and truly happy to be there. ]]>

flip has been an institution in the edm community for years, not just in toronto, but globaly.

locally he stood up for "ravers" at the idance rally in NPH, carried late night radio via trippin on energy 108, which spawned a cd release series, was a regular at various nightclubs during live to airs. Helped bring international talent into the city, played various residencies across the city, travelled across canada and north america touring, and helping bring toronto to the forefront of the EDM community.
he has always been positive, approachable, honest and humble.

its true, its tough to get recognition in your own backyard first(outside the clubbing family), and the scene has changed. but its evident his passion for music, and flair has kept him at the top of his game.
even if you arent a fan of his mc/music productions, if you have ever met him, you would be a fan of his overall passion and dedication to not only bringing edm further, but exposing more people to it.

cheers to flip

From what I read and understood he is using " rave scene " as a metaphor in an exact response to the interviewers question. I am almost positive Flip knows the SCENE in terms of rave is done. I personally didn't like d&b at all so these mentions of a DJ ( Flow) who hasn't made anything significant in years is comical to me. I started listening to Flipside because of his DJ mixes and only know him for his house music DJ sets and productions which I LOVE !! Just the Tip is sooo hot.]]>

So far my opinion of Flipside has strictly been "the guy who made Freaky Flow suck" but the stuff on his MySpace isn't bad.

I have no idea what rave scene he's talking about not being dead, but it can't possibly be Toronto's. He lists a bunch of names that you'll only find in nightclubs and at concerts. The music obviously isn't dead, but that's not the same thing.]]>

I have always liked Flipside...he's not just an MC...He dj's, produces, sings and freestyles...and owns a label ( pbr recordings) To do that and top the Beatport, Beatsource and Track it Down charts at number 1 speaks volumes ... When dj's like Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Paul Van Dyk, Pete Tong, Stanton Warriors play your music then you're doing it right.

Best of luck to him he deserves it ...check out his urban stuff under his aka MIC Perri. Have a Nice Day is sick :)

Never been a huge fan of MCFlipside, although I always had a good time listening to Freaky Flow (sans MC Flipside) but you gotta give this guy props for sticking it through all this time.

The guys name is already a household name and by god, he's only an MC!]]>
